Lalela Cape Town Fundraiser 2026

We shared a truly special evening at Lalela’s Cape Town fundraiser, hosted at the beautiful Dorp Hotel. The room was filled with a sense of purpose, as friends, partners and supporters gathered to celebrate Lalela’s work.
We extend our sincere thanks to comedian Nik Rabinowitz, who hosted the evening’s auction with his signature humour and generosity of spirit.
Above: A selection of moments from the evening’s festivities at the Lalela Cape Town Fundraiser, where the Lalela Scarf was also available for purchase.
Guests also had the opportunity to support Lalela through the purchase of Lalela Scarf products, each featuring original artwork by a Lalela learner. Every scarf carries a young artist’s creative voice into the world, and 100% of profits from scarf sales are reinvested into Lalela’s educational arts programmes.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was hearing from Ryan, a Lalela alumnus who is now part of our team as a facilitator. Speaking about his journey with the programme, Ryan reflected on how the arts created a space for his growth and sense of confidence. His story was heartfelt and powerful, offering a full-circle reminder of the long-term impact of Lalela’s educational arts programmes.
We thank Felicity and Brathew from Felicity and the Trumpets and Kirsty Bows for their wonderful performances.
To everyone who joined us, contributed and continues to believe in the potential of young people: thank you. Your support enables Lalela to keep our programmes accessible, and our learners dreaming bigger every day.
Together, we are building spaces where young people can step confidently into their futures.
